The charity derives it's sole income from rent obtained from the lease of a 3 acre parcel of land in shirley that was gifted to the parish in the mid c19th to be used as allotments for the labouring poor. The allotments fell into disuse in the 1960's and, since then, the land has been leased for grazing - with the income paid into a charitable account to be used to relieve poverty in the parish.
