In 1643 nicholas almond left land known as poors moor to the people of cuddington, income from which was given as financial and practical help to poor people in cuddington. The role of the charity has now changed somewhat, and the income derived from selling the grazing of poors moor is now used for grants to young people of cuddington who may need help with their further education.
