Refugees start was established in response to the refugee crisis in 2015, to support refugees & asylum seekers in both the uk and europe. We have since incorporated yorkshire aid, a pre-existing group of local volunteers in leeds. Current activities focus on collecting & sorting, or buying, items needed by refugees locally in yorkshire, and transporting suitable donations to calais.
