Sackville college is a beautiful jacobean almshouse which provides accommodation for local elderly people of limited means. The flats are comfortable, warm, safe and secure. There is a strong community spirit. The college is not supported by the government and relies on fundraising events, visitors, donations and a very low weekly charge for its income.
