The shepshed lions community first responders primary role is to support the ambulance service with providing emergency medical care until care is transferred to an ambulance crew. Additionally the scheme also attends local businesses, community groups and schools to provide cpr and defibrillator training aswell as monitoring 40 defibrillators in the local community ensuring they are operational.
