We conserve, maintain and operate the steamship shieldhall for people of all ages, to enjoy and experience steam power at sea and alongside. All with unpaid volunteers.Based in southampton, shieldhall (no 66 in the national historic fleet) mainly operates, but is not restricted to the solent area and is probably the largest steam powered cargo/passenger ship in operation, in europe.
