Coastal search, rescue (sar) & coastwatch. The sar team is on call to assist her majesties coastguard (hmcg) 24 hours a day,365 days a year. The coastwatch team operates 4 days each week. The coastwatch team is a "declared facilities" of the hmcg. D/edin training is available. The hq are open to public as a museum. School parties & community groups visit. Visits are made to both groups
