To encourage, promote and improve the breeding of longhorn cattle and to maintain their purity. To maintain a herdbook of longhorn cattle in furtherance to the above objects but not further or otherwise the society shall have the following powers: to promote shows and/or sales of longhorn cattle; to do all things necessary for the attainment of the above objects.
