In the early 60s the original wooden hut that was nicholforest village hall burned down. Money was raised for the new hall from whist drives, dances etc. In '64 a new hall was built. In '96 with the help of a lottery grant the hall was transformed. Regular groups and societies now meet at the hall. The hall holds regular events throughout the year and it also has a resource centre and library.
