We are a small independent folk museum run by volunteers for the past 35 years and located at the high house methodist chapel .We provide a sense of place for those who live and visit weardale by telling the stories of its history and heritage. We provide a family history service using our 70,000 database of weardale families and we hold extensive collections of weardale photographs and artefacts.
