The society consists of an orchestra and chorus. Membership is open to all comers without audition. Members learn and rehearse music with the objective of providing four public concerts per year. The orchestra invites all comers to an open rehearsal free of charge. Occasionally, the chorus runs an open singing course. The society supports local charities by performing carols at christmas time.
